Margaret Rossiter has worked to uncover and illuminate the contributions of female scientists who have been overlooked throughout our history. Her efforts, over the past few decades, have shown just how often the work of female scientists is credited to male collaborators or peers. In fact, it happens so often, she wrote an article in which she named the phenomenon--the Matilda Effect.
