About Alexandar

– Leading and pursuing research projects in quantum computation and quantum information, with a focus on continuous quantum error correction algorithms and their applications in systems of superconducting qubits; in particular, analyzing the entanglement content and “temperature” of the steady state obtained from such algorithms applied to specific many-body Hamiltonians;

– Mentoring graduate students on their research projects in Quantum Sciences, specifically in the Quantum Engineering Program, including Physics, Engineering, Computer Science and Applied Math majors.

My scientific interests lie especially in the direction of Quantum Information, Bell tests, and entanglement characterization/measures.

My passions include: science, education, outreach; intense exercising, preferably outdoors (long-distance trail running, rock climbing, sailing, etc.); activism within the queer community; writing (I’ve published several non-scientific articles as well as a college-level textbook).
