About Alison
I work primarily on astronomical instrumentation, with a background in radio astronomy. My research involves supermassive black holes and their environments. I have almost 20 years of experience in observatory operations and management, and now serve as a Program Director at the NSF. In my free time, I try to do as much traveling and hiking as possible, try out new vegetarian restaurants and recipes, and I play with my very spoiled cat, Freya.
