About Claire
Claire Williams is a Ph.D. Candidate at UCLA studying theoretical astrophysics with advisor Smadar Naoz and the Supersonic Project collaboration. Her work focuses on cosmological hydrodynamics simulations that resolve the first epoch of galaxy formation in the Universe and can constrain galaxy formation scenarios and dark matter models. She is interested in theoretical predictions relevant to the high-redshift observations of the James Webb Space Telescope and the study of local low-mass galaxies and satellites of the Milky Way. She is also passionate about mentorship, astronomy outreach, and environmental justice and has led projects and initiatives in these domains at UCLA.
