About Claire
I am a first-generation college graduate, graduating from the University of Washington in 2020 having double majored in Physics and Astronomy. I am currently a 2nd-year master’s student at San Francisco State University. For research, I am working with Dr. John Brewer and the Flatiron Institute, studying the effects of starspots on stellar spectra. Previously I worked with Dr. Eric Agol, designing a differentiable N-body software that simulates transit times and radial velocities of exoplanet systems. Outside of research, I have been active in teaching and outreach projects, while also working as a student assistant for the Astronomers for Planet Earth where I preside over the North America regional meetings and translate resources to increase language accessibility in climate communication.
