About Dawn
Dr. Dawn Gelino is the Deputy Director of the NASA Exoplanet Science Institute located at Caltech. She is also a lead for the NASA Hubble Fellowship Program (NHFP) and for NASA’s Nexus for Exoplanetary System Science (NExSS) research coordination network. Dawn serves as the NASA Keck Operations Scientist for the WM Keck Observatory, and manages all of NASA’s time on the two 10m telescopes atop MaunaKea.
Dawn has chaired or been a member of the science and/or local organizing committees for 40+ international astrophysics meetings. She has also served on numerous Board of Directors for the American Astronomical Society (AAS), and NASA’s Astrophysics Data Systems (ADS).
Ever the advocate for early career scientists, Dawn has served as an organizer and panel member for many career planning workshops, and she also serves as an ally for minority and underrepresented scientists.
