About Laura
Laura Kreidberg is the director of the APEx Department at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg, Germany. Prior to moving to Germany, she was a Clay Fellow at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard and Smithosian, and a Harvard Junior Fellow. She studied at the University of Chicago and Yale University.
Dr. Kreidberg is enthusiastic about all things exoplanets, particularly their atmospheres. Her research interests include the atmospheric composition, climate, and cloud properties of planets ranging from Earth to Jupiter in size. Ultimately, her research goal is to search for biosignatures to determine the prevalence of life on planets beyond the Solar System.
Outside of work, she can frequently be found running, dancing the tango, or hiking up a mountain.
