About Lauren
I am an experimental particle physics using accelerators to search for dark matter and to understand the fundamental structure of matter. I build electronics to filter the data through a process called triggering, and my group uses a wide variety of techniques, including an emphasis on machine learning, to analyze the data. I am a member of the ATLAS experiment at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider in Geneva, Switzerland, as well as a member of the Heavy Photon Search and Light Dark Matter eXperiment (LDMX). I’m passionate about equity and inclusion in physics and about using modern teaching techniques. I’m a mom, a stepmom and a novice sewist!
