About Lauryn
Hi! I work with dynamical modeling to study the formation of a theoretical class of star called a Thorne-Żytkow object, which is a neutron star at the center of a large, diffuse envelope! As a graduate student at the University of Washington, I’m very interested in studying these hybrid stars, but I also have a deep passion for education and outreach for underrepresented minorities in physics and astronomy!
