About Sophie
I’m a recent graduate from UCLA, with a BS in astrophysics, and I’m excited to be applying to graduate programs in astronomy and astrophysics. My research interests include active galactic nuclei, supermassive black holes, galaxy formation/evolution, and observational extragalactic astronomy. I’m currently researching the effects of an AGN on its host galaxy by analyzing spectroscopic data of active galaxy NGC 5806, with Drs. Matthew Malkan and Sandra Raimundo. I also enjoy drumming and stargazing.
