About Xiaoqin
I am an experimentalist working in the area of condensed matter physics, nanoscience, and optics. Below I have included a link to my group website site and my google scholar site to provide some information on my research interest. I believe in the importance of communicating science to the general public and policymakers for a functioning society. I find it alarming that misconception of and distrust in science seem so widespread, highlighted by the mishandling of the 2020 pandemic in the U.S. People do not readily accept the scientific facts presented by experts. We need to learn to connect with our targeted audience in order to communicate science effectively.
